Online session on 21st April 2021

The online session began with Gibi ma'am's class. After the prayer song we began with our presentations. We went through J P Guilford's SOI model. Today for optional class we had our reading and reflection. Anjitha and Kavya presented their works beautifully. Anjitha took 'Sita's Sister' written by Kavita Kane. Kavya interestingly had taken a book on Homosapiens, a non- fiction book.

The book was a smash hit and  today  it is used in numerous history courses around USA. Compared to the many history textbooks that  commonly consist of  names and dates, Harari’s outlook is broader. His time references are more in terms of ranges and time either before the present, or in the future in his last couple of chapters as he looks ahead to where humankind might be headed.

Writer Kavita and her work

The book made me think aloud. Not just Urmila does any King Janaka's daughters other than Sita get a voice in Ramayana. Are there re-tellings or discourses about these characters-Mandavi and Shrutakirti ?
