26-08-2022 Last Day of Teacher Training Internship @     ST Goretti's HSS, Nalanchira The day finally came and I was feeling sad that we had to leave during the exam seasons as it prevented us from saying a proper goodbye to our students and our dear teachers.  Even during these days, students came to us to clear their doubts. Although it was our last day we still attended to our school duties and assisted teachers in their invigilation duties. At 11:15 we assembled at the Hm's office for a short vote of thanks session. I was in charge of the speech and thanked all the staff and students for their love and support. We also presented a thank you gift to the HM and also distributed some sweets. Then we had a photography session with the teachers. I can never forget the experience that I got from St Goretti school.

24-08-2022 and 25-08-2022                          Start of Onam Examinations      Today I reached school early to avoid getting scolded by HM. Everyone was busy with finding their exam halls, arranging the question papers, assigning duties and other facilities for students.  The exam was conducted in both forenoon and afternoon time. Forenoon time was for senior students while afternoon was for primary to 8th standard students.       After a short prayer, everyone departed for invigilation and discipline duties. BEd trainees were asked to assist the teachers during invigilation. Others were asked to discipline those students who had exams in the afternoon. It was a big challenge to make the students calm and silent.  25-08-2022     Today I reached school by 9 am and hopefully got to sign in the attendance book. As usual everyone was busy with the exams.      After a short prayer, everyone departed for invigilation and discipline duties. BEd trainees were asked to assist the teachers

22-08-2022 & 23-08-2022 Last Week @ ST Goretti's HSS      Today I reached school by 9:15 am. When I arrived prayer session was already over and the attendance book was kept locked inside as latecomers were not allowed to sign in the book. This was a negative for us and the HM would openly admonish us regarding this behaviour.          The rest of the day was spent in substitution timetables for primary school students. Tomorrow was the official start of Onam examinations and everyone was busy preparing for it. 23-08-2022     We were also busy doing school duties and would leave after 4:30 pm after completing the hostler duty. Teachers have become really attached to us and they would cheer us up even when the HM scolded us. We can't forget their love and positive attitude towards us. Everyone showed us care and motivated us whenever we felt any kind of difficulties while teaching.

Digital Textbook   A  digital textbook  is more interactive and engaging. It is designed keeping the modern tech-savvy learners in mind.To address their learning styles and needs, an e-textbook is usually designed with features that will help them learn better and engage more with the learning material.      A major selling point of digital textbooks is that they offer the opportunity for students to access multimedia content, such as embedded videos, interactive presentations and hyperlinks. Tests and other assessments can be included in the textbook, classmates can work together, and student progress can be tracked. Touchscreen technology offers students the chance to participate in projects, research or experiments. This may offer a different or better learning experience than printed textbooks.

12th August 2022         After reaching the school, we gathered for the prayer. The first hour was with 9 D students. Attendance was very low but the class was manageable. I continued with the story ' Song of the Rain'. Students answered a pop quiz after the class. I also made sure to give a quick recap of the previous class.  Today we had lunch duty and along with the other teachers and kitchen staff we served food to the children. It was a hectic job but we got plenty of satisfaction from doing it. The school and its students now has become more familiar for us. Work is yet to be completed and we are in a rush to finish everything before leaving the school. From 3:30 i went to do hostler duty.

INNOVATIVE WORK REPORT INTRODUCTION      An innovative work can be defined as a " new idea, device or method". It is something original and more effective and as a consequence new that 'breaks into' the pupil . Two interesting dimensions of innovation including degree of novelty and type of innovation. Innovative work should be a catalyst to growth . Innovation may be linked to positive changes in efficiency, productivity, quality, competitiveness and intellectual development. Through innovative work the teacher can improve students performance by providing group work opportunities and resources to innovate. It is necessary to create and nurture an environment of innovation.   As part of my Innovative work assignments, I have created a Tabloid newspaper for the students. Proper planning has been done before the development of the learning material.  The present material aims to teach the topic "Racial discrimination and Civil rights" from the chapte
