"To have another language is to possess a second soul" - Charlemagne
Why should we be proficient in another language, be it of global importance or not? Studies suggest that by mastering a language, you will undoubtedly acquire a better understanding and regard for those who speak it as their first language. A sound knowledge of the people and the regions where that language is spoken makes you more cultured and informed about the world you live in.
COMMUNICATIVE ENGLISH CLASS(2020-22)
Today we were in for a pleasant surprise. Our teachers- Maya miss and Joju sir introduced us to the new Communicative English course for BEd student teachers. Many of us face the issue of not speaking fluent English. The class that began today focus on solving that issue. Six students were chosen for coordinating the course- Uthara, a language communication expert herself, Kavya, Jis and Gayathri from English and Praveen from Mathematics.
The class was made further more interesting when we were shown a talk given by a professor from Osmania University, Dr. Sumita Roy, a renowned language expert.
Today women cell inaugurated their caption box for public use.
In addition to this today we also got to meet our new arts and aesthetics teacher- Miss Lakshmi. She enthralled us with her musical skills. There was no big explanations or ppt's or question-answers...just an encouraging smile and a melodious voice that kept the class in tune with the teacher.
We hope to learn more from her.
