" Chellamma", my great grandmother's name...                              March 22- World Water Day When we were learning about cultural diffusion in our philosophy class today, when our teacher gave us a simple thought to ponder on. It was to consider oneself as living some centuries back and think if their names would be the same as the present times.  That was a brilliant example to show how we have had incorporated overtime cultures from all over India, diffused and evolved, to name children in the present times. We don't posses names that were prevalent centuries back. This is how cultural diffusion works. It is a means of accepting ideas, customs and beliefs and accepting it as our own. Our teacher brought us to the realization that whenever a question of caste arises, one shouldn't categorize people as lower castes, which is not proper when the phrase is taken other than Harijans, rather the community should be collectively called the 'so-called lo
Ganga from English Department What's new in English department? ...Oh, the usual, seniors undergoing their exams, seminars, assignments, union programmes, running to canteen and back and Ganga chechi.                                                    GIVER AND TAKER We meet takers quite frequently but givers are really rare to find. Who are these takers and givers?  Well, 'takers' are those people who  view interactions as a way of extracting ideas from other people and always approaches people with one thing in their minds, 'How can I get as much as possible from this exchange?' While 'givers' tries to figure out things like-  ' What can I contribute here? How can I be helpful?' which is basically looking for ways to be productive. It might involve sharing knowledge, providing guidance, giving practical ideas, or being there for others when in need... Don't be both instead be the Matcher- you give and you take policy😝..happy to take and happy to give. Boost your self esteem.

"To have another language is to possess  a second   soul"                                                                                        - Charlemagne Why should we be proficient in another language, be it of global importance or not? Studies suggest that  by mastering a language, you will undoubtedly acquire a better understanding and regard for those who speak it as their first language. A  sound knowledge of the people and the regions where that language is spoken makes you more cultured and informed about the world you live in .                       COMMUNICATIVE ENGLISH CLASS(2020-22) Today we were in for a pleasant surprise.   Sarvodaya  Central School: Induction Day 1 I thought K V Pattom was the only school to begin  early in the morning(07:00 am) and I used to envy other schools on that matter. That feeling got extinguished when I arrived at Sarvodaya at 8 in the morning ready to know all about school classrooms from a teacher's point of view.   Me and my group which made a total of 14 Theophilites began our induction after we got our duties assigned by the principal. We were shown into a classroom to settle down and after we were provided with the day's timetable we began.  We trio-me, Anusha and Caran left for our class- X standard.  Each and every class had the state of art resources such as interactive white board, and other facilities such as Atal Tinkering Labs, drinking water at every floor and a clean and safe learning environment for the students.  We explored the school campus and spent some of our time with teachers and staff members.  We even came upon an alumni of MTTC- Anjana teach

On this occasion let me tell you the story of Ching Shih, one of the most prosperous pirates in history. It is the story of how one concubine  became the terror of China.                                                                                                                                                        ' After her husband sudden demise, Shih took over the infamous Red Flag Fleet,  led over 50,000 pirates, and rewrote his-tory.  Today, her legacy lives on in Disney’s   Pirates of The Caribbean   franchise as Mistress Ching, one of the nine Pirate Lords.                               Nikhil from Physical Science😂      "One need to persevere through troubles and stay focused in order to become successful. Whenever you feel like giving up on your dream, remember that you may be just three feet from gold! " Today's morning assembly was held by English Department. During the event our Principal inaugurated our  new logo and name NIYUKTA. To add colour to the programme we all wore Kerala style white set sarees .                  After a short break we had our general classes today. Ancy miss finally took up the challenge to remember everyone's names. It became more enjoyable when the boys were called out front to name students from departments other than their own class and guess who topped it with his sheer confidence- Nikhil (Rep of Physical Science).  In our philosophy class today Maya ma'am asked us a question with relation to the different schools of philosophy- To which school do you find yourself adhering to ?
