GOAT DAYS- READING AND REFLECTION

On 29th, finally my turn came to take seminar on reading and reflection. I reflected on the book 'Goat Days', written by Malayalam writer Benyamin.

The novel recounts the life of Najeeb, a Keralite migrant trapped in Saudi Arabia. First published in 2008 in Malayalam–'Aadujeevitham'–and translated into English in 2012 by Joseph Koyippalli. The book won the Kerala Sahitya Academy award. The book is banned in Saudi Arabia and UAE.
Benyamin has also released two more books (in Malyalam) that is set in the Gulf nation, a twinset about the Arab world- “Al Arabian Novel Factory and A Spring without Smell. It is a twin novel on the same subject with different perspectives.
After that Megha presented a reflection on the book 'God of Small Things' written by prize winning author Arundhati Roy.
This was followed by Maya ma'am's online session. It was Physical Science optionals who took the seminar.
On the same day I participated in a dance competition, organized by the Union of MTTC as part of World Dance day widely celebrated on April 30th.
