                         The Tests for Self Discovery

Sell your cleverness and buy bewilderment-Jalaluddin Rumi

This was what happened today morning in a three hour session with Sri. Joby Kondoor. From the moment he took over the class from Dr.Gibi ma'am and Dr.Joju sir we were in a cloud of bewilderment caused by our own ignorance. The class mainly was about completing tasks-tasks that showed insight on skills that a teacher should develop- respect, understanding, cooperation, responsibility and a caring nature .

The first task was sitting in a semicircle of two rows within ten seconds. It took us more than three tries to completely understand and form the way Joby sir wanted from us and that too we managed after he showed us how its done.

Following this task he introduced us to the game of forming groups based on imagining the wheels of a particular vehicle, be it a bike( where we stood in groups of two people) or a jeep(where we formed a group of four). The rules to be followed were that each group should contain people who doesn't know the other's whereabouts. If there is a familiar member, one has to immediately connect with another group. the penalty for those who was left out was to sing in front of everyone. Through this game I came to meet be familiar with many students( whose names I have put above😆)

This was followed by many more activities. One thing that I learned was that just like how teachers are respected in society, children should also be given both respect and space.

The day continued with both Dr.Maya-who completed a unit titled 'Teacher and Education' and Dr.Joju sir's vibrant session on technology. The last hour we enjoyed a minor game under the hot sun.
