 11th August 2022- Observation Day                 Today was a special day with our optional teacher- Meekha ma'am coming for our class observations. At 9;10 am we gathered at the HM's office for a short prayer and the HM gave us and other teachers instructions about the events happenning that day. After that we left for our respective classes. Meekha ma'am arrived at 9:30 am and with the class teachers permission I began my class. Students were well disciplined and cooperative. They greeted the teachers and listened and responded appreporiately to the teacher. The chapter was a poem titled" song of the rain' by Khalil Gibran. Teahing aids were appropriately used mass answering was avoided with the students promptly raising their hands whenever questions were asked.  10th August 2022         Today I reached the school by 8:45am and after meeting up with others gathered at the HM's office for a short prayer. At 9:30 am Lizzy ma'am came to class to take the attendance. 48 students were present in the class. I gave them some time to settle and adjust and then began the class with a short prayer. Joju sir as usual came for the observation and gave wonderful feedback about our classes. he pointed out that he class was well disciplined. Students were very cooperative and actively responded to questions. The class was fruitful and productive. Today we also had lunch duty. The menu for the day was- rice, sambhar and a thoran. Children from 4th to 8th partook in the mid-day meal. Even teachers came down to serve the food. It was a good experience serving food for the children and getting their thanks. 

 8th August 2022- Achievement Test      Monday I had reached the school at 9am and went for morning discipline duties. After that we gathered for a short prayer at the HM's office. Today I taught a new chapter 'Song of the Rain' by Khalil Gibran. Students were motivated after seeing the video and slide presenations.       Leena ma'am came to observe my class and wrote her observations in the book. The class was well disciplined and there was adequate interaction between the teacher and the students. Students were also given group activities to present before the class. They also raised their doubts. Students answered the questions without mass answering.       After the class teacher trainees were given other substitution duties especially with diciplining 8th standard students. Joju sir has started coming for the next round of observations and gave his suggestions as an audio in our whatsapp group to rectify while taking class...

 Second Phase Internship - Week 4   1st August - 5th August 2022                 This week we had to finish  a major part of the lesson plans and students were very cooperative. I was also tasked with giving audios on chapters on whatsapp for easy understanding. Now I was able to keep time management and could finish a lesson plan within the 40-minute duration. Teachers are pushing us to finish the chapters so that they can give additional supplements for the upcoming exams . We are all waiting for the observation from our general and optional teachers. Lots of other student teachers have already got their teachers to visit their classes and we are still waiting for their arrival.       This week we had two observations.  27-30th June 2022 School Internship @ St Goretti's HSS          On 27th June,  four of us had morning discipline duty. At 9:10 we gathered at the HM's office for a short prayer. After that we left for our respective classes.  Classes went smoothly. I tried to inculcate moral values in my teaching and gave examples and stories to boost the students morale. After my class I went to Jeena sister's class for peer observation. The teaching aids used was appropriate but class management was difficult with the students showing indiscipline even in the teacher's presence. After that  there was lunch duty and then we went for substitiuion duties.                       On 28th June teachers were busy with returning the mid term exam papers back to the students. Students were really disturbed because of their performance and it was a challenge to keep their attention throughout the class....

 COGNITIVE MAP  The term “cognitive map” has been used to describe several forms of a diagrammatic representation of an individual’s cognitions. A   concept map  is really nothing more than a diagram or a visual representation of the individual and shared relationships between core concepts and ideas.  concept mapping can be used to help students that are exhibiting real creativity and higher cognitive levels in particular.                This assignment contains a concept map for Plus One and Plus Two students, based on the units , Harmony of Life and Heights of Harmony respectively .

26-07-2022- Peer Observation Intership@ St Goretti's HSS, Nalanchira       Today we reached school by 9 am and after a short prayer left for our respective classes. The laptop kept in the classroom was not working, so I faced difficulty while using PPT. I checked their previous learning and also corrected their homeworks. Students were interested and cooperative during class hour. I made sure to share some positive thoughts to make them more energetic and active. Students maintained good discipline and shared their doubts. I gave them encouragment as and when required and even stopped for some occassional jokes. In between i also asked them some general knowledge questions and students positively responded. Teaching aids was properly used. Students showed more comprehension when visual aids were presented. Along with this they were also given activities, both individual and group work, which they completed within the time duration and presented beautifully.   ...
